Hello Glamazonians! The glamorous looks those fierce Hollywood starlets have been donning lately have left me wanting more. From Diane Kruger‘s triple toned Prabal Gurung gown, to Coco Rocha‘s fabulous royal blue Greta Constantine ruffled number, this past week has been a great fashionable week!
Hello Glamazonians! Long time, no update. I informed you Glams I was taking some classes this summer, so now that that’s over, I’ll be returning to my regular updating schedule. YAY! This past week, some of our favourite starlets, dressed to impress at the premieres of their movies.
LILY COLLINS in a Cushnie et OchsResort 2014 knee- length ivory fishnet stamped leather dress with cut-out accents.
AMANDA SEYFRIED in a blue polka-dot high collared Gucci dress and Givenchy heels.
RACHEL MCADAMS in a white floor legth Roksanda Ilincic gown to the About Time premiere.
Hello Glamazonians! Sorry I’ve been M.I.A these past few days, blame the summer classes I’m taking. I checked my email yesterday and a lovely reader said to me, “I’m surprised you haven’t blogged about Kerry Washington‘s Vanity Fair cover photos yet, knowing how much you love to blog about her. I know you’ll have a ton to say, so I’m waiting patiently.” Trust me love, the minute I saw those photos I momentarily lost my mind. Not only because of KW’s stunning cover photo, but because I found out that Vanity Fair hasn’t had a black woman on the cover in SIX YEARS! Seriously, I don’t make this stuff up! Not even typical magazine cover staples like Beyoncé, Rihanna and Halle Berry. The print industry has this stigma, this mentality, that having black women on the cover of magazines can’t and won’t sell as many issues as having women of other races. Back to Queen Kerry. After her amazingly fierce ELLE Magazine photos, and nowVanity Fair, I expect Marie Claire, Rolling Stone and of course the fashion bible, Vogue, to be knocking on her door. Make it happen Anna Wintour, we know you love Scandal too. It’s about time that more people are taking note of her powerhouse talent. College graduate(George Washington University), political and social advocate and a great role model to boot, this woman is here to stay, Hollywood, now grant her the cover of VOGUE!
Hello Glamazonians! This year’s AMFAR Inspiration Gala showcased a slew of fabulous celebs doing what they do best; work a red carpet. My fave look of the night was Iman‘s gone-with-the-wind-fabulous type gown. I did not just throw in a Real Housewives of Atlanta reference. Clearly I watch way too much reality tv. Back to Iman, darlings. There are very few instances when I see a gown and just have to scream YESSSS! And this was one of them. I looked at other pictures of this gown and wasn’t super impressed but what I loved about this shot is that pose! The wind is working in her favour! The last time I lost it over a gown was Kerry Washington’s MET Gala gown. My other faves were Jennifer Lopez and Leigh Lezark. P.S Iman’s gown looks very much like the one she wore to the Keep A Child Alive benefit in 2006!
Hello Glamazonians! Earlier this week Scandal star, Darby Stanchfield rocked some pretty spectacular looks that couldn’t go unnoticed by anyone. She wore a burgandy Yuna Yang dropped waist knee length dress to the opening ceremony of the Monte Carlo T.V Festival. The Georges Hobeika gown she wore to the closing ceremony looked absolutely stunning as she walked the carpet with co-star & genuis tweeter Josh Malina.
Hello Glamazonians! A-List celebs gathered in London for the Chime for Change concert over the weekend. Co-founders of the organization Beyonce, Salma Hayek and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini all looked absolutely beautiful!
Hello Glamazonians! From Emma Watson‘s beautiful speech to Kerry Washington gorgeous Michael Kors gown, the MTV Movie Awards weren’t all bad this year. But can we take a moment to talk about how in the world Channing Tatum did NOT win Best Shirtless Performance?!?Seriously, did they not see Magic Mike?!? I’ll let it go, for now; on to the fashion! I love everything Kerry Washington wears and her dual tone MK gown was no exception. Although my mum thinks I’m biased based on my love for KW! Other gorgeous stars of the night were Zoe Saldana, Bella Thorne, Holland Roden and Selena Gomez.
Hello Glamazonians! One of my best dressed celebs at the Oscars happened to be Kerry Washington! Big shock right, no? Oh you know me so well! Obviously I love all things Kerry so it wasn’t a surprise that I fell in love with her Miu Miu gown. It was only natural that I gush at the telly when she was interviewed by Ryan Seacrest. And the fact that my hard-to-please mum thought she was one of her best dressed made me love the gown even more! Kerry wore Miu Miu to the Golden Globes a month ago, so it’s safe to say she’s a big fan of the brand.
P.S ‘Scandal‘ fans, did you see the promo that aired during the show?!?!?! I had to re-wind my telly a few times!!!!!!!!
Hello Glamazonians! The Oscars were the epitome of award winning performances and acceptance speeches. Jennifer Hudson performed And I am Telling You from her hit movie Dreamgirls, Catherine Zeta-Jones performed All that Jazz from the movie Chicago and the cast of Les Miserable performed One Day More & Suddenly. In red carpet news, the celebs looked so breathtaking this year that I couldn’t picked a single best dressed celeb so I picked three; Kerry Washington, Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence!
Hello Glamazonians! The 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards brought out more star power than ever with beauties like Kerry Washington, Jennifer Lawrence and Salma Hayek. I expected my belles, Kerry and Jennifer to look amazing and that they did, darlings! I won’t be able to fill you in on the show because I only watched to see Kerry present an award which thankfully happened in the first 15 minutes, so I tuned out! Sorry:(
LET’S HAVE A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR THE BEAUTIFULLY STUNNING KERRY WASHINGTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
